The Trifid nebula

Just north-west of Sagittarius is M20 the Trifid nebula in the Milky ways Scutum-Centaurus arm, this area is a combination of three nebula types. The large reddish pink area shine by its own emissions. The blues are reflected dust from nearby starlight, and a dark nebula (the apparent 'gaps' in the former that cause the trifurcated appearance, also designated Barnard 85)

Optics: 8" f/3.9 Orion Newtonian Astrograph with aperture ring and coma corrector
Mount: Celestron AVX
Camera: Canon 60D unmodified
Guiding: 60mm guide scope with orion starshoot
Dates: August 22 through 31-2022
Location: Taken at my Backyard observatory in Northwest Mo.
Exposure details: 5 hour 4-minutes subs, ISO-1250 no calibrations frams
Processing: Pixlnsight, photoshop
