This is a open star cluster known as M-23 it can be found northwest of the southern constellation Sagittarius, or the Lagoon nebula, a perfect binocular object, the cluster of stars is in front of an extensive gas and dust, of the glowing band of the Milky way galaxy.

Optics: 8" f/3.9 Orion Newtonian Astrograph with coma corrector
Mount: Celestron AVX
Camera: Canon 60D unmodified
Guiding: 60mm guide scope with orion starshoot
Dates: September 14-2023
Location: Taken at my Backyard observatory in Northwest Mo.
Exposure details: 2.5 hours of integrations 3-min subs ISO-1250
Processing: Deep sky stacker, Pixlnsight, photoshop
