NGC 6520 and Barnard 86
About this image:
We are looking roughly toward the center of our galaxy, in the constellation of Sagittarius. The star cluster in the center is NGC 6520 and to the right is a dark dense nebula Barnard 86 silhouette against the backdrop of the Milky way stars.This cloud of relatively dense gas and dust, apparently a remnant of the formation of NGC 6520

Optics: 8" f/3.9 Orion Newtonian Astrograph with aperture ring and coma corrector
Mount: Celestron AVX
Camera: Canon 60D unmodified
Guiding: 60mm guide scope with orion starshoot
Dates: August 20-2022
Location: Taken at my Backyard observatory in Northwest Mo.
Exposure details: 1 hour 3-minutes subs, ISO-1250 no calibrations frams
Processing: Pixlnsight, photoshop
