M81, M82 Galaxies

M82 on the left, also known as the cigar galaxy due to its shape, M82 is a starburst galaxy. M81 on the right also known as Bode galaxy, M81 is classified as a grand spiral galaxy 12 million lightyears away, in the constellation Ursa Major.

Optics: 8" f/3.9 Orion Newtonian Astrograph with coma corrector
Mount: Celestron AVX
Camera: Canon 60D unmodified
Guiding: 60mm guide scope with orion starshoot
Dates: January 11-2021 through March 3-2021
Location: Taken at my Backyard observatory in Northwest Mo.
Exposure details: 10.6 hours 4-minutes subs, no darks
Processing: Deep sky stacker, Pixlnsight, photoshop
