The Cone and Fox Fur region
About this image:
Heres a huge system a vast cloud of gas and dust, with young stars and active star formation
Towards the far left of the image is known as the cone nebula, dense lumps of gas, the bright star at the end the cone shaped giving the rise to the cone nebula.
In the center is the Fox fur nebula an enigmatic formation of dust and gasses, the blue areas is reflected dust by the hot blue stars.

Optics: 8" f/3.9 Orion Newtonian Astrograph with coma corrector
Mount: Celestron AVX
Camera: Canon 60D unmodified
Guiding: 60mm guide scope with orion starshoot
Dates: December 2022 through March 2023
Location: Taken at my Backyard observatory in Northwest Mo.
Exposure details: 7.2 hours 4-minutes subs ISO-1250
Processing: Deep sky stacker, Pixlnsight, photoshop
